Name: Kevin Smith
Age: 23
Occupation: Singer/Songwriter/Guitarist
Job Description: Kevin is a solo performer for Rising Star. He had no interest in joining a group full of mindless, peppy prettyboys that probably couldn't write their own lyrics or play an instrument if somebody paid them ridiculous amounts of money, not to mention they would just be in the way of his well-deserved spotlight.
Do they work for Prince Media?: Nope, Rising Star. ^^
Appearance: Kevin is a few inches taller now than he was in the anime but he's still a shrimp, and his blond hair is a bit longer. He still wears the same stylish sunglasses all the time, whether over his eyes or pushed up onto his head like a headband, because he is a girl.
History: Kevin Smith grew up in America, and lived there until he was 20. He'd always had an interest in music, and it grew over the years. He took voice and guitar lessons, before he found his own unique style and quit. He decided to try and make something of himself in the professional world, and dropped out of high school at 17. However, he quickly discovered, as many musicians do, that the American media was more concerned with his looks than his actual talents. He refused to become a poster boy, and his parents refused to pay for his upkeep when he was out of a job and out of an education.
Deciding he needed a change of pace, Kevin used the money he'd manage to save from his previous shows and cds to get a one-way ticket to Japan. Japanese had been one of the few classes he'd liked and done well in while he attended school, and he used the knowledge to get a job at a record store. Over the next few years he played at open-mics and smaller clubs, slowly building up a fan base that was eventually recognized by Sakaki. He convinced the young American to join quickly, before he was snatched up by Prince Media. Kevin was only too happy to oblige (once he realized he didn't have to be in the boyband, of course)...there was no way in hell he was working for a media company that featured an emo rock band.
